This company is the worst people to get ahold of. I’m trying to get my 401k, and I’ve tried several times to contact them, one time I was told I had no account there, when I had my statement in my hand. Reach out to you employers if they have them, ask them to change to a honest company.

I have two accounts with the Vanguard Group. Both are 401K retirement accounts. On Dec 29th, I call Vanguard and talked to a service representative. I wanted to see if I could combine the accounts. I asked the representative to look up my other account, which seems reasonable to me. But she was unable to get that information. I thought that was odd and asked to speak to a supervisor, but was denied. I asked for a transcript of our conversation and that was also denied. We opened a Cash Plus Account and now cannot access our money. We are getting the run around and were told that no one in customer service can help us with that account. It is very frustrating. They have no problem taking your money, but don't expect to have any access to it once you do that. I would recommend picking another institution for your investment needs. We are going to close our accounts as soon as we can get access to them.

Vanguard manages my old companies 401K fund. I am retired and wanted to take a $95K withdrawal from the account, a lot of money. Requested on Nov. 16. On Nov. 24, they informed me that the transfers to my savings account had been rejected. They then said they would mail me a check. It is Dec. 5 and still no check. Three customer service rep conversations along the way, all saying "the check is in the mail". I asked if there wasn't an overnight fee they could charge or could they wire the money to my bank. Beware of this company they will treat you like your idiot just to try and keep your money give you the run around make you send them the same forms over and over my daughter passed so was trying to withdraw her 401k sent them all the paperwork they wanted and the only thing they sent is where they enrolled me with her money when I called and told them that’s not what they was supposed to do I did not ask them to do that now they took half her money for fees to withdraw it they will do anything to keep the money this is a ba... read more

My biggest mistake was going with vanguard brokerage. Thought I try to get a better return, I did not! After telling the invest manager exactly what I wanted, he proceeded to do what they felt I wanted. In the last two years I’ve lost 6% of my investments. After looking through other vanguard funds it looked like my manager pick just the ones that lost money. I’m willing to ride for a short time, mainly because the hassle I’m expecting to get when I leave.

worst investment company in the world . I had to hire a lawyer to help in getting my money from these crooks . Beware never put a nickel in this company they are nothing but useless people that transfer your calls to Philippines to get rid of you.

We attempted to switch my husband's IRA from another brokerage company to Vanguard. First, we got a hard sell from the "customer service" rep who tried to rope us into Vanguard's paid investment services. But, what was worse, was when we got down to the actual business of switching the IRA, the rep kept asking "what is your Vanguard account number?" They use preferred share tickers that are different from every other brokerage and company on the planet, and the website makes it impossible for customers to find preferred share tickers. And what's worse is that their customer service reps can't even find the preferred share tickers either. I had to chat with two different, completely incompetent reps, who had absolutely no clue.
