Done saved my life many times, having surgery tomorrow for my heart .
The service and staff was good for the most part. Some staff were a little rude for no reason. If you don't appreciate your job, or having a bad day, don't take it out on the patient, regardless of your experience. Overall since I have been attending the Dallas VA, the service and personnel have been getting better, except for the "evil" popcorn. it seems like we wait for hours whenever I go getting prescriptions is a nightmare from hell and I even went in early yesterday I was still there for 6 hrs between seeing the nurse then the DR then the pharmacy
Update: August 30, 2017 - VA North Texas Health Care System once again showed how their concern for veterans is non-existent. It has taken three weeks and raising my voice over the phone for over an hour today to get a consult as directed by an emergency room doctor. First failure was my own doctor, now no longer my doctor, to submit the consult for a week until I raised the flag about it. I am so impressed . they are so thorough, knowledgeable, and so respectful. I am so sorry others seem to have problems with them but it is like night and day with the civilian Drs we have encountered you are at their mercy. VA. Is straight forward with you.
We have been on hold for 2 or more hours/ and just to get a date for a ck. up that will take the dam hospital staff 4 to 6 weeks to set up any way never in my life /we have talked to 4 people and every last one put us on hold/ the last gal. had someone call us back just to tell us what we knew. we called the dam 1800 just to be put on hold yet again.You would think@ 1: 22 pm the call would be taken care off? Was at the North Texas VA Hospital yesterday the 14th had a fairly good visit I would rate it a 4.I hardly ever have a bad day there so a rateing of a 4.
