I had my neck surgery there almost two years ago... Love the Dr that did matter of fact might need surgery on my neck to fix the disc. I will continue to go there as long as I need to.. I have to drive 2 hours but very nice pleasant ppl there.. I stayed overnight and they made sure I wasn't in no pain ... Checked on me every two hours.. Didn't bother me of I was sleeping loved that cuz most hospitals wake u up... But they took my vitals as I was sleeping.. ☺

By far the best cardiologist and pulmonary Drs I've ever heard of. They deff saved my father. And the nurses are fantastic
Don't come here if you have anything that causes you pain! They are horrible at pain management. This has been true for years! They will only give you the bare minimum pain meds and if you are still in pain they basically say too bad, there is nothing more they can do. Which any person with at least a 7th grade education would know is completely not true!! Not a good place to be stuck in for more than a day! BTW this time we are here is because of a traumatic spinal cord injury! Shame on them for making my husband suffer so ... read more
If there were more than 5 stars then UPMC Monroeville would have them. Caring staff and exceptional specialists. Naturally some prayers arent answered to our satisfaction, but God always makes the right decisions.
Chief of Neurosurgery Doctor Friedlander operated on my husband in October of 2013. My husband had a massive (size of a grapefruit) frontal lobe brain tumor. Dr. Friedlander successfully removed it. Wouldn't go any where else. UPMC is wonderful.
My husband was a patient at both UPMC MERCY and UPMC MCKEESPORT. He had top notch care at both. Nursing staff was so kind and caring and doctors were wonderful. Couldn't have asked for better. He was at Mercy for 9 weeks after suffering a stroke. The care was outstanding
Truth be told, I had no problems with my stay here.
$1,293 for my daughter's bloodwork? For you to stick a needle in an arm, pull 7 vials of blood, let a machine spin and analyze the blood, and you read results? Almost $1,300 for THAT? What a ripoff! Our country's healthcare system is a huge money making, greed induced sham. before you took over in Altoona, that same service cost merely two to three hundred dollars. How you claim to be "non-profit" is reprehensible.
