I'd give zero stars out of the gate if I could. 1. Did not mail ID cards at start of year, although customer support said they did. None of us received a card before mid-Februrary. 2. Denied medication refills on day 1. This health insurance company usurps medical professionals at every step. Actuaries at UHC are now your doctor, nurse, dentist and pediatrician. Worst. ever. 3. Terrible customer service. my company just switch to UHC January and they changed one my prescriptions without doctors consent. My doctors office contacted them several times to engage them in the official UHC exception process. UHC noted that the prescription would be corrected the next month ... then again made the modification. The customer rep a spoke with next had a hard time with English, could not understand the issue, committed to having a manager call me back ... its been over a week and have not heard from them.

This is in regards to my prescription cost and the fact that every year this company comes up with another excuse for not doing there job. Once again this year my insurance is messed up because you all don't know how to process a claim right the first time. Now I have 4 claims on my account for 1 damn prescription. You should all be ashamed. Contacting them is a joke I was on hold for over 2 hours one night this company is crap. Run away people do not use United health care you are better off dying.

To whom it may Concern, I come through this to express my anger and my repudiation to UHC Health Insurance. I have been part of this plan for more than one year, and until today I have not been able to schedule a preventive health exam. Went to docs appt on 2/12/20. Was prescribed a MRI. Set MRI appt. for 2/18/20. Received a phone call from Florida Orto. that they were still waiting on MRI approval. Pushed MRI back to 2/20/20. Received a phone call from Florida Orto. still haven't approved MRI. I called United health that morning to see what was up. They called me back 1 hour before my MRI appt. and said you don't need a MRI. Not approved. After 5 years with no problems United Healrhcare denied the dosage on a prescription, then denied two appeals from my doctor. Now I would have to pay in full to get my regular dosage. It’s been over a month now and my work performance and quality of life are heavily impacted. Why now and not when first prescribed? Needless hardship. I hate insurance companies. They have no respect for patients or their physicians’ expertise. It’s all money.

This complaint is about deceptive business practices. I will try to be brief: I needed an outpatient procedure done. I called United Healthcare to check that the hospital and doctor were in network. They answered in the affirmative. My doctor's office also called and received the same answer. My company rolled over my HSA to Optum. Optum mailed my HSA card to the wrong address, then refused to take any responsibility. They allso refused to expedite a new card. I am now unable to pay for any prescriptions until they correct their error, which I was told could take 2 weeks. Terrible company and terrible customer service. I was told the equivalent of tough luck by their customer service.

They refuse to pay employees the base pay they set. Currently employees make way less than the base pay that is advertised. When people contact HR nothing is done. This has been going on for years. This company is so unethical. If they dont want to pay employees the base minimum that they are setting then they shouldn't be raising it in the first place.
