"UnitedHealth Group has received 3.48 out of 5 stars based on 83 Customer Reviews and a BBB Rating of A." How on earth can a reasonable person be expected to reconcile the BBB's "A" rating with the fact that ***98%*** of the Customer Reviews are negative? I'm in the negative camp. LHI is horrible. They have messed up all my dental appts, forgotten to follow through on my appts and preferences. I have spent countless hours as a soldier required to go to these appts; talking, being on hold, being lied to about appts. I have received confirmations for appts only for them to turn around and cancel them on my behalf, which I never asked for. I have missed work and opportunites for work because of their unprofessionalism. Inconsistent, LHI has become a joke and a complete waste. Their customer service is th... read more

They are the absolute worst. On 2 separate occasions, I had called about a specific procedure and was told it's covered both times. Then they denied it after the fact. In addition, my in-network doctor apparently uses a lab that UHC doesn't cover. How am I suppose to know to even ask about that? The only thing they tell you is to try to use an in-network doctor. They never tell you to also check the labs they use. Shouldn't UHC vet the doctors and the labs the office uses when they consider them in-network? I've never had th... read more

I am a new member of OptumRX - they were very nice over the phone, every time I've spoken to them, at least 6 times in the past month! Still just trying to get my first order filled! I am now out of medication and the responsibility of fixing this is on me. First they say it's held up at the doctor's end (*it wasn't) your order is being shipped. Two weeks goes by, no order. Another email, now it's a medication that I'm not on they say is holding up the order. Then take that medication off the list. It will ship Saturday. It ... read more

HORIBBLE HEALTH INSIRANCE COMPANY! UHC back 15 years ago was great however with the growth and changes this company is horrific! Where to start? After having UHC for last 2 years i have learned Customer service reps don’t care nor know ANYTHING about policy and pricing and it takes minimum 5-6 calls to get the proper answer or help needed- not to mention it takes hours to end up speaking to someone who “might” be able to help - Also not sure how an insurance company’s coverage is significantly more $$ for medications and tre... read more

My claim for a birth control consult has been denied multiple times in the 5 months since the visit. My provider keeps re-submitting the claims as they tell her to, with the correct modifiers as they instruct her, and then it is denied again. I called again after the third denial and a customer service representative at United Healthcare told me that they do not cover office visits for birth control pill consults. I deal with LHI to schedule mandatory health readiness appointments for the Army Reserve. Since they started trying to transfer all their services to the online system, they have gone from bad service to non-existent service. I tried to set up a medical appointment 3 weeks ago through the online system and they still haven't scheduled my appointment. I writing this review because I was completely mislead when registering for individual insurance through UnitedHealthCare. When registering, I was under the impression that my coverage would come directly from UHC. Instead my policy is controlled by UnitedHealthOne/Golden Rule and this has been the worst insurance experience I've ever had.
