Their treatment of customers is appalling. They keep changing covered medications so "auto-refill" medications are not filled, and there is no notification. This has happened to me 3 times so it is not an isolated event. The customer service automated prescreen takes a ridiculous amount of time, then places you on hold. When (if) you get live person you are usually transferred and then disconnected only to get to go through the whole experience again. BTW, tried website - error message- try again later. The Atlanta location has to be one of the WORST locations within the company. I’ve heard complaints about the Ms. **** prior to going by other veterans but I was still optimistic. Do not use this company!! They do not care about you and only their money! The bottom line is that I lost the use of my legs; I need a new wheel chair; and I have been using a loner wheel chair for 7 months, as Optum refuses to accept the return of a chair they wrongly delivered. SCAM! SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! People's health and lives are not a business to decide to try out. They demand customers use CVS pharmacies or pay a higher price, they don't disclose accurate tiered pricing information and won't give visibility into drug costs (even for generics!). The management of this company belong in prison for Fraud and financial crimes.

Optum RX is terrible. They lie to their customers. Make mistakes , hold medications. The company should not be in business. It has been 16 days and a dozen phone calls and still don’t have an inhaler. I’ve heard so many excuses I can’t take it any more. The reps. Awful service and representatives. Went from IRR to Army Reserves. Initially, had my readiness completed through a Joint Base that does not have access to MEDPROs, thus, had to upload documents through LHI. LHI first told me they couldn't update records and to contact my unit representatives. The unit will just upload the documents to a mailbox that takes about one to eight months to update. My FLL told me to schedule LHI appointments in the meantime because LHI updated records faster than the unit's capability. I wanted to ... read more
The NJ Department of Environmental Protection, my employer, switched to Minimum RX (Optum Rx) in January 2018. I have two meds, both I have taken for more than 7 years, one is prescription toothpaste, and the other a proton pump inhibitor, Aciphex, which I must take twice a day.. They have denied BOTH meds, regardless of my fulfilling all of their requests for information, doctors' notes, etc., with absolutely NO explanation. Optum Rx and United Healthcare a duplicitous and immoral organization masquerading as healthcare. They have put all the wrong information for my mother; falsified a diagnosis, refuse to speak to me or correct errors and will not issue medications. My mother is a retired school nurse and I note that OPTUMRx and United Healthcare are not BBB certified and have 88 negative complaints of 89 proffered.
