UHC is the worst health care available on the planet to date. They fight you for every single penny that they are supposed to cover and deny you of anything that you need to get or have done to live a normal life. I would rather pay the government money at the end of the year than give UHC another dime. I would avoid at all costs unless you want to argue for years at a time to get something done.

I have been receiving calls from this company for 3 months now, at least 1 call per day. The times I have talked to a representative and explained they have my phone number for a person I do not know who it is, they inform me they will put me on the do not call list. When I kept receiving calls I called the 800 number and explained to Kelly my problems then she hung up on me. In my search for an in-network primary care provider (GP or internist), which is essential because the plan requires referrals for all specialists, I had to make literally dozens of phone calls to find a provider in-network (Compass plan). The list of providers on the website appeared to be extensive but in fact was extremely out of date. My grandmother uses this service and being an authorized rep for her, I have several complaints about this company. We've used them for way too long - over 3 years and we've finally decided to quit. Main complaints: • priority shipping does not mean it will arrive within their estimated time frame. 2 day shipping turned into 6 days - totally unacceptable. • their website does not work on a tablet or mobile phone. have not had success using their iOS apps either. I was forced to switch to this company 3 months ago and it has been a complete nightmare every step of the way. At least half of what the previous company covered is not covered at all by United. Prescriptions United covered the first 2 months are being declined now, just 3 months in. I currently am assisting with a bodily injury claim from a motor vehicle accident on behalf of my father and UHC has paid for some bills and have contracted Optum for subrogation purposes. Optum has sent over bills to USAA (1st party) & Geico (3rd party) but half of the bills were not accident related, in which I contacted them to advise for the removal. United Healthcare's customer service is poor (I spoke with 4 different representatives who provided different answers as to why a certain benefit had changed). Overall their services appear to be designed to discourage customers from seeking care, for example requiring a customer to fill out a reimbursement form to correct an issue that UnitedHealthcare caused.

This is a horrible company to do business with they are complete scammers. My mother signed up for this insurance through a third party provider, she was told she would be given a 10 day free trial , and was told she would receive the contract package with her policy number and the important information to reach the company directly from United Health One/Golden Rule. UHC is the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. Earlier in May of 2018 I paid over $16,000 for an Intensive Outpatient Therapy out of pocket. I have paid monthly payments for health care and I am still not reimbursed for my out of pocket expenses. This is not brain science to handle these claims. I called today and now they tell me that I have to wait until November 15, 2018 to check again.
