We have been with United Healthcare/OptumRX and have had nothing but problems, inconsistencies, and out mis-information from them. I had 3 presrciptions filled at Wal Mart Pharmacy and then received a letter from UHC/OptumRX stating in order to get the prescriptions for less money, I needed to switch to mail order and recieve 90 day supplies. I went ahead and followed their advice. HUGE mistake!! Two of the medications were Tier one, so no charge. One of the prescriptions was Tier 3 and they stated I would get a 90 day suppl... read more

The company left a voicemail saying they needed authorization to ship a medication to my doctor's office for a $0 co-pay. I returned the call and was informed no one was able to assist me and that I would have to call on 1/1/2018. I stated that was a holiday, but was told I could get help then. I called on 1/1/2018 and was told they had to reprocess the billing of the medication and it would now cost $1000 but they would help set me up for assistance from the manufacturer . 5 phone calls later (because no one can resolve thi... read more

After leaving my parent's insurance, I tried United Health Care. It was a horrible experience in which my birth control prescription cost ranged from ~$35 to over $100 a month and changed month to month without reliability. After having the insurance for 9 months, the cost of birth control sky rocketed again and only after waiting on hold extensively did I find out that I now had a $1500 deductible to meet that was not required the previous 9 months. Do not trust this United Healthcare. They do not care if we suffer. They do not care if we are in pain. They only care if you pay them. I get migraines sadly a lot. The Rizatriptan pills helps so much that I don't loose work or suffer. Up until this year I could only get 12 pills a month. I could cope with that. But now I can only get 4. Yeah just 4. BriovaRx is a terrible company that does not care about patients. I have been put on hold so many times. The last customer representative Dye C (Nevada) was so incompetent and rude, and hanged up on me. They have no idea how to handle complex things. They can handle only simple things, and it is very heartbreaking to see myself spend so much time with them to get a refill for something that was returned by mistake. OptumRx for the past month has not filled my prescription order, even though they have received the hard copy prescriptions. When questioned about the delay, I was told that no refills were available for the prescriptions in question. When asked about why refills were needed for new prescriptions, the pharmacists at OptumRx kept saying that there were no refills. Company was given a eval appointment by the VA for disability compensation. First this company had used an address that was on file for close to 1 week total. Second this company made this appointment within the last 2 weeks available in their contract, which led to panic rescheduling by them to move me into a location "within 150 miles". Last the appointment was scheduled at a location 2 hours from home after 6pm, when the appointment is expected to last for 2 hours with another 2 hour drive back. After 6 months of uninterrupted insurance service I received a mailer which claimed I needed to call in and select whether I'd like to continue receiving my prescriptions at the pharmacy or receive them by mail order. Life is busy, I didn't respond. Nor should I have to. Since when do insurance companies not cover prescriptions at a well known pharmacy chain? BriovaRx is a terrible company with clearly very little care about their patients. My wife receives treatments for *********** *******. Not receiving these treatments on time can have life threatening consequences. Despite providing clear and concise approval to bill our card and receiving direct confirmation from their call center director who told us that they would be making notes in our account, we continually are told that they need to charge us money and the medication is consistently late.
