I made (and received confirmation of) a reservation for a storage unit. Several days later I receive a call that the unit I reserved is not available (there were, in fact, two available. They were going to give me a smaller one that was less convenient for the same price. I asked how a unit I had reserved was not available and they said they didn't know. Worst customer service and ********************** experience ever! I had originally scheduled the rental of 3 uhaul box containers to be picked up from ********** and delivered to *****. The boxes were to be picked up from my ********** residence Tuesday 6/6/23 but were not physically hauled away until Saturday 6/10/23. Before the week of this transaction I received a call asking me as a favor to push my delivery date in ***** from 6/12/23 to 6/20/23 due to driver shortages which I was kind enough to agree to. Absolutely worst experience ever. I would never use UHaul again, for anything. We contracted to pick up our UHaul at a location five miles from our home. Two days before our move, the ********* office told ** we would have to pick up the truck 61 miles from our home and the car carrier, at a seperate location North of the other location about twenty miles from our home. 35 years ago, I remember moving from ********** to **** with a huge U-Haul truck. It was highly featured with broken radio, no AC, broken gas gauge, and faulty brakes. There is no feeling quite like losing brakes while descending a **** mountain, and plowing through a construction site full of workers at 68 miles per hour (while still in first gear). If I could give it 0 starts I would, this place confirmed our reservation and when we got there they had no trucks. There were multiple people with the same issue. Then they offered to give me a smaller truck that was someone else's reservation. When I expressed my issue with this they refuse service. I tried to cancel since th money had already been taken from my account and they lied and said it had not been taken yet, even tho my account said otherwise. Cancelled my reserved truck on morning of my move. When I called national number, they said they cancelled because they couldn't reach me. They had all my contact info and I had received a confirmation email 2 days before. I learned from my adult daughter that they called her phone (she has same last name and had rented in past) and she told them to call my #. No help was offered, no apology given. Trying to get my privlem solved and all i get is call transfer and bad attirude from employees. ****** at ************** and, although i told her i need to speak with general manager, she kept me for 48 min in hold and then told me he is not there. They are so ****!!!!

Never EVER use uhaul. They ****** us in this move. We had a 26 truck and ****** reserved for the move for weeks. They called 2 days ago to tell me they dont have the truck or the dollys available but I can go to *********** (1.5 hrs away) to pick up if I want a truck that big. By the time I called back that truck was gone but they could give me a smaller truck. We had to secure a second smaller truck to make up the difference. Picked up a truck and tow dolly. They offered to hook my car up to the tow dolly, but they didn't put the strap on the front right tire properly. Went to check the straps at the first stop for gas, and it was no longer on my tire, had ruined the tread on my tire and was tangled on parts under my car. It took over 2 hours to get roadside assistance to come out and untangle it. Now after already shelling out over 2 grand for the uhaul I need to buy a new tire because of their negligence.
