I went to Dr. Atkinson for a second opinion after a different orthopedic told me I needed a total shoulder replacement. I knew I needed to find a shoulder specialist who does many replacements a year. After extensive research I found Dr. Atkinson and decided he might be the one. Oh boy, I got this one right! I had an anatomical total shoulder replacement February 2025, five months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The whole process from assessment to surgery to recovery was a great experience with Dr. Atkinson... read more

I went to Dr. Atkinson at a recommendation of a friend, who also happens to be a doctor of PT. I was experiencing shoulder pain after activity, so I wanted to had it checked. Dr. Atkinson first advised I try PT, which I did for 8 weeks without any improvement. After Dr. Atkinson ordered an MRI, we sat down and discussed my options. 1. Do nothing and live with the pain. 2. Have rotator cuff surgery and go through 12 weeks of rehab. 3. Have full shoulder replacement. We discussed this as a team, which I appreciated very much. ... read more

After eight months of recovering from a significant shoulder injury and surgery, I can confidently share that Dr. Atkinson and his entire team are exceptional. With over two decades of experience as an OR nurse, I selected Dr. Atkinson based on his credentials and surgical expertise. What has impressed me even more is his respectful and thoughtful manner—he genuinely listens and approaches each patient as an individual. The physical therapy team—Ed, Louise, and Gabby—played an instrumental role in my recovery. Seeing them mu... read more

I came to Dr. Todd Atkinson for an A1 pulley release. I had hoped that my home therapy had healed the malady, but alas I needed surgery. As far as procedures this was pretty text book, and after surgery the pain was greatly reduced , chiefly due to the skills of the surgeon. But what makes Dr. Atkinson stand out amongst his peers is his genial approach to the practice of medicine. Just before I went into surgery from across the hall he gave me the thumbs up approval. Of course I laughed , the implication not obscured by the ... read more

Dr Atkinson repaired the torn cartilage in my knee only to have me injure it again. So he has repaired it twice. His office respects my time with his prompt attention with my appointments. Those who work in physical therapy do their best to make the treatments pleasant. The doctor, the therapists, and the entire staff are all very personable and professional. It’s been a pleasure working with them all.

Dr. Atkinson replaced my shoulder in January 2025. His office and staff are outstanding, especially the physical therapy staff. The most important thing after this type of surgery is to do your 'exercises.' I have been faithful in doing them and very pleased with my progress. Dr. Todd is a caring doctor who take the time to answer any question. I had people stop me after the surgery to ask what I had done and who my doctor was--without exception when I said Dr. Todd--the answer was always 'he's the best.' I agree.
