After consulting with other orthopedic doctors, I was fortunate to be referred to Dr Todd Atkinson. His credentials are remarkable and after having a Total Shoulder Replacement at age 78, I am equally impressed with his skills as a surgeon. If you’re looking for an orthopedic doctor in SWFL, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr Atkinson. I had no bruising from surgery (nearly unimaginable at age 78), and my recovery has been impeccably managed thanks to his knowledgeable and friendly PT staff.

Athletic life of many sports, shoulder shot at 73. Doc is a magician at repairing shoulders. Love his staff. I am at 2 months 13 days since surgery. Have no pain and full range of motion. I feel blessed that he is my doc. I have had a hip and knee replacement as was expecting a rougher experience since doing a rotator cuff on my opposite shoulder was a painful drawn out experience with another doc. I had 2 tendons repaired by Dr Atkinson and it was a great experience! The pain before surgery was a 10 and he was remarkable to completely alleviate the pain almost immediately after surgery. The physical therapists (Dana & Christine) were wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend the whole experience.

Very professional and always a smile. Had quality prepping discussions and demonstrated a very strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures and process for recovery.
