Dr Atkinson was easy to talk to and took his time explaining my condition and my options. We opted for a reverse shoulder replacement. Surgery was 4 months ago, with no pain after the surgery. My range of motion is improving daily, and I am strengthening the shoulder. I am very pleased with the experience, beginning with the office personnel, surgery procedure, and the follow-up by Dr Atkinson. Highly recommend him.
AS A FORMER PRACTICING RN, I ALWAYS OBSERVE MY PHYSICIANS AND THEIR STAFF. DR ATKINSON AND STAFF ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CARING. I HAD A TOTAL SHOULDER REPLACEMENT AND PHYSICAL THERAPY FOLLOWING. THEY ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AND PROVIDED ME WITH INFORMATION TO HELP PROGRESS THROUGH THE PROCESS OF HEALING AND THERAPY. I NEVER FELT RUSHED IN MY APPOINTMENTS OR THERAPY. Pain in left shoulder and left knee
Huge fan of Dr. Atkinson! He did my left shoulder 5 years ago and it's been like new ever since. I just had my right shoulder done in September and I'm healing very nicely. Old hockey injuries! I did my physical therapy in the Ft Myers office and that team is amazing! Extremely experienced and professional. They made it fun too even though I was hurting. Highly recommend this Dr. and his team.
The entire experience with Dr. Atkinson and his staff was fabulous.The Surgery and post-surgery treatment could not have gone better. I went from years of constant pain and diminished ability to golf to being pain free and able to golf 4 times per week just 5 months post-surgery. His physical therapy team was friendly, professional and creative. I would not go anywhere else for orthopedic surgery.
After years of pain, my husband had a hip replacement August 30, 2024. After just a few weeks, he no longer needed a walker or a cane to get around. By November, he was riding his ebike, and by December, we resumed traveling in our RV. Dr. Atkinson did a great job. His staff is friendly and accommodating. The PT staff was great as well. Highly recommend Dr. Atkinson.
Another knee replacement! I wasn't overly enthused about this. 'No thanks!' However, my success with Dr. Todd Atkinson with my other knee five years earlier meant I felt comfortable returning to his office for this surgery. After x-rays, the explanation going forward was thorough; questions were answered; date, time and place were set. Surgery was outpatient. PT came to my apartment the next day. dr. Atkinson takes the time to listen and genuinely cares about you as a patient. he did my husband shoulder surgery and he had great results. He had very little pain after the surgery and his shoulder is back to his normal mobility.. his office staff is very friendly and helpful as well. I would recommend Dr. Atkinson. He’s a good surgeon and he cares about his patience and their outcomes.
Dr Atkinson performed my reverse shoulder replacement. The pre op and post op process was well coordinated including coordination with home care services. Recovery was painless and I rapidly regained function through physical therapy. Appointments were easy to schedule and wait times minimal. Dr. Atkinson took time to answer all my questions and concerns. I am very pleased with my experience and highly recommend Dr. Atkinson.
