Dr. Atkinson and staff are great!I had shoulder surgery back in May and I am doing so much better. Dr. Atkinson takes the time to explain to you what the surgery entails and what to expect.After the surgery you start physical therapy right away which is important. The physical therapists in the Cape Coral office are great.They work with you to improve mobility. Ed, Louise and Gabby are very caring.
Dr. Atkinson performed surgery on my shoulder in January. His pre op care was terrific. He took great care to explain the procedure and recovery. During the following months, Dr. Atkinson kept in close touch, evaluating my recovery. He is a very thoughtful and concerned doctor and I would highly recommend him! His physical therapy staff is amazing. They were very professional and answered all of my questions. I also highly recommend these wonderful therapists!
In 2017 my primary care physician recommended Dr Todd Atkinson for rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. Now, after injuring my left in 2025, I immediately turned to Dr Atkinson again as he is the best! He is caring, compassionate and patient in dealing with any and all questions. Bonus: he has a great support team of PT experts in the Cape Coral office who can motivate you with good humor and Biofreeze!
I have been going to Dr. Atkinson for various issues for a while, when it came time for a hip replacement, I knew that Dr. Atkinson was my best choice. I had to spend a night in the hospital due to my blood pressure, and he showed up on a Saturday morning just to check in with me, I was impressed. The surgery went perfect as did the follow up pt and visits. The Doctor, therapists and office staff are all outstanding. Highly recommend.
In 2022 Dr. Atkinson replaced my right shoulder, the procedure went perfect, I followed his advice what to do and what not to do and had a very early recovery. The incision is darn near invisible and today I have complete and total movement and no loss of strength. Hurricane Ian delayed the replacement of my left shoulder to this year. Due to an injury, I had a complete tear of my rotator cuff. My physical therapist strongly recommended that I schedule with Dr. Atkinson. His practice is extremely efficient, I had a consult, pre-op and surgery in less than 3 weeks from my initial call. That was a blessing considering the level of pain I was experiencing. Doctor Atkinson was wonderful he took the time to explain everything to me. This was my my second time having this type of surgery(lateral epicondyle surgery). My left arm was repaired when I lived in Pennsylvania back in 2020. The surgery and therapy with Dr Atkinson in Feb 2025 was a better experience than my prior surgery. Dr Atkinson does great work. He replaced my shoulder 2 years ago. Recovery went great. This year ge replaced my knee. Recovery was fast. I was out dancing at 4 weeks after surgery. Gave me his total attention at office visits
I was new to Cape Coral and had shoulder issues. I was able to get an appointment the next week with Dr. Atkinson. Dr. Atkinson is prompt with appointments and very compassionate. He had some intense work to do on my shoulder, and I have no regrets! The Therapists in his office are great to work with, and almost make PT fun. I would absolutely recommend!
