Dr. Atkinson came highly recommended as the one to go to for my rotator cuff repair. Three months on, it's feeling good. Dr. Atkinson is thorough, patient and answered all my questions.
Started with an Appointment in April where bone on bone problem was discovered. Dr Atkinson highly recommended surgery that took place in May . Because of my age over 80 I did have to stay over night but got home next day. I just had my three month check up and my new hip is working great. Dr Atkinson and his staff took great care of me and the Physical Therapy was conveniently located in the same building .
Dr Atkinson, his office staff and physical therapists provided a very positive experience. It means a great deal. Shoulder surgery alleviated the awful debilitating pain I experienced for so long. My heartfelt thanks to Dr Atkinson.
Dr Atkinson repaired my left shoulder rotator cuff tear in April of 2024. There was no pain associated with the surgery and the recovery and discomfort was much less than I expected. His physical therapy staff are 2nd to none. I work part-time for the Boston Red Sox in Ft Myers and I feel confident that I will be able to return to my regular duties next February without any restrictions. Also, having two office locations in Cape Coral and Ft Myers is a plus.
I had reverse shoulder surgery in April 2024. Before the surgery I was constantly in pain. It was hard to get a good night's sleep and go throughout the day without some pain. After 3 and a half months after surgery I am pain free. Dr. Atkinson explained to me what to expect after the surgery and what my outcome would be like. Dr. Atkinson cripled my husband and turned him into an invalid. After months of PT his arm functions anly 50%.
I needed a total hip replacement. I have an irregular heart beat and the first orthopedic surgeon refused to operate on me. Dr Atkinson saw how much pain I was in and agreed to give me a new hip once I got a clearance form my cardiologist. The surgery went well. After one month of PT I was back to normal. I have no pain or restrictions. Dr Atkinson is the best.
I have spent the last 3 years with other specialists that have only given me steroid shots until Dr. Atkinson did an MRI and found I had a torn meniscus. Thankfully he operated and my pain is gone. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an Orthopedic specialist.
