I cannot begin to adequately express how happy I am with Advance Orthopedics & Sports Medicine! Dr. Atkinson, his nurse Angie, his office and professional staff, and Ed along with the rest of the Physical Therapy Dept. are all amazing!! Great experience with Dr. Todd Atkinson. I had an arthroscopic outpatient procedure on my left shoulder in 2017. The very next morning I was at physical therapy - sling came off, and the pain was completely gone. After several PT visits, I was back to 90%+. Now 3 years later, my right shoulder had the same issue. Went back to Dr. Atkinson, and had that done in November 2020. Same smooth procedure, same amazing results. Shoulder arthroscopy was done. The plan included a nerve block prior to the procedure; I had no pain post operatively. No pain pills needed at all. Physical therapy is conveniently in the same building. That team is great as well. Dr Atkinson is an excellent surgeon with a warm, pleasant demeanor. He truly cares about patients, not just procedures. My husband also had successful surgery with Dr Atkinson.

Most important to me is that he is an excellent surgeon with a superb educational background. He is a good communicator and spends the time needed to explain what the surgery entails. I was extremely pleased with my shoulder replacement.

It is my pleasure to leave this review concerning Dr. Todd Atkinson. He has all the qualities you would want in a perfect doctor. Competence, kind, respectful, care about your well being. From the start of the analysis phase, through the surgery, and followup therapy, I have been ecstatic with everything about this shoulder replacement surgery. Keeping in mind this is my 5th major joint replacement from other doctors across the country. This was the best experience of all.

EXCELLENT doctor!! I had rotator cuff surgery done 6 months ago and I am feeling so much better. I saw 2 other orthopedic doctors that administered cortisone shots in my arm - to no avail. I did some further research and stumbled upon Dr. Atkinson's credentials and reviews. I was impressed by what I read. I also liked the idea that he does arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Atkinson is the kindest, most compassionate and professional physician I have ever experienced. I had been plagued with knee pain for over 10 years, only to be informed, after several MRI's,that there was nothing that could be done other than total knee replacement. Dr. Atkinson did surgery on my wife's shoulder in July 2018 so when I started having shoulder issues, I naturally made an appointment with his office. After determining that I needed a shoulder replacement, his office made all the arrangements. I arrived at the hospital at 5:30 am and was back in the car on the way home by 9:30 am. 6 months later I am 100% with no pain. We absolutely give Dr. Atkinson and his staff 5 stars and thank them for being the "Best of the Best"!
