Dr. Atkinson performed my total knee replacement on 11/22/19. I have had two previous knee surgeries on my left knee from sport injuries and while I tried to put off the total knee as long as possible because I'm 50, but it was time. I researched a lot of Drs. before choosing Dr. Atkinson after he performed my father-in-law's hip surgery. Why Dr. Atkinson? He truly cares. Dr Atkinson is a very caring, skilled top notch surgeon. He did a wonderful job on my hip replacement. He sized it perfectly, no leg length issues, no shoe lifts for me. The follow-up in home therapy was provided by Ivanka of Dr's Choice. She was awesome. She suggested a few more sessions with Dr Atkinson's therapists. They too were great. Dr Atkinson is an excellent surgeon, I highly recommend him and only wonder why I did not do this sooner.
Dr. Atkinson is a very caring, skilled top notch doctor. He will listen to you and doesn't make you feel he is in a hurry. He did a wonderful job on my rotator cuff. I had physical therapy after my surgery and the therapists we’re awesome.
Previously, I had Dr. Atkinson repair a torn biceps tendon, then a torn rotator cuff both on my right shoulder. When it came time to replace my left hip, I had no qualms having Dr. Atkinson perform this surgery this past July. The surgery went well considering that I am 84 years old. The follow-up in home therapy with Drs. Choice was also excellent. Dr. Atkinson is an excellent surgeon and I recommend him highly.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Atkinson. He was able to focus in on my shoulder problem and figure out the best way to deal with the issues in a way that allowed me to recover faster and return to my normal routine as quickly as possible. He cleaned up my spurs and some arthritious and I can now function without the pain that I was experiencing before. I saw Dr. Atkinson for two very serious orthopedic issues this year: repair of left shoulder rotator cuff & right arm, broken humerus with radial nerve damage. These conditions caused me tremendous pain & the inability to barely function with either arm. Dr. Atkinson was the most understanding, compassionate & reassuring doctor I have ever met. Dr. Atkinson has been my orthopedic doctor since 2012. In 2012 he performed a repair of my right rotator cuff, which turned out great. I have no pain and have total movement of my right shoulder. In April of 2019 Dr. Atkinson performed a total knee replacement of my right knee. It has been 6 months since the knee replacement. I have no pain and have total movement of my right knee. Had a total knee replacement surgery and was a very pleased with my overall experience with Dr Atkinson and his entire staff. No complications and had a very good experience with his Physical Therapy staff. They had me fully recovered unjust a few weeks. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes on any appointments and the staff were professional, very friendly and courteous. I plan return to have my other worn out knee replaced with Dr Atkinson. I highly recommend his services.
Dr Atkinson performed a full shoulder replacement on me on May 24,2019. After meeting with Dr Atkinson, his office staff, and physical therapy staff I knew that I had made the right choice.
