I have had an excellent experience with Dr Atkinson and his staff. Prior to surgery all aspects of the surgery were explained. Post surgery I had excellent physical therapy with Ed and his staff. I have full use of my shoulder and absolutely no pain. I highly recommend Dr Atkinson as a surgeon and his physical therapy department after surgery.
Dr Atkinson provided excellent care from start to finish. He clearly explained the entire process. The actual operation was much quicker than I expected. The initial therapy was in-home and went well with significant iimprovements in mobility the first week. All additional therapy was in his office in Cape Coral and was thoughtful, careful and with great expertise. I highly recommend him and all of his staff.
He thinks he is so important but very rude. Said he does not send you home with any pain meds right after surgery - probably to his friends only. I would never recommend him. Go somewhere else.
This doctor was not only rude and condescending but his front office staff LOST the disc with my Mom’s shoulder xray so now I have to chase down another one. BEWARE: this office should let patients know that the office space is NOT wheelchair accessible. It’s actually a home that is being used as a medical office. The floors and doors do not work well with wheelchairs. The parking lot is a joke because it’s designed for a home. This visit was a HORRIBLE experience from beginning to end.
I was very impressed when I first went to Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine to see Dr. Todd Atkinson. I was given their information by our Physical Therapist, whom I have a great deal of respect for after needing her help on other issues. We got the surgery scheduled and I must say, I had heard several negative comments about rotator cuff surgery so I was not excited to enter into this. Dr. Todd Atkinson di shoulder surgery on my left shoulder a year ago and he did an absolute fantatsic job. Very friendly, great bedside manners and a very caring Dr. I would reccommend him any day of the week. He is fantastic and a very caring friendly Dr. that knows what he is doing beyond a doubt.
Dr.Atkinson demonstrated tremendous skill in performing my shoulder replacement. His talent and caring manner is a credit to the medical profession. There are not enough words for me to express my appreciation. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Atkinson as my orthopedic surgeon and highly recommend him, the Physical Therapists and the entire staff.
I had a very positive experience with SWFL Advanced Orthopedics And Sports Medicine. Dr. Todd Atkinson performed a total shoulder replacement for me. He is a wonderful surgeon and really cares about his patients. I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. Physical therapy at home, then in his office, helped get my arm working much better than I expected. The therapists were great and the office staff was very nice and helpful. I am glad I chose Dr. Todd Atkinson and would highly recommend him to anyone.
After 25 years, suffering from a severly damaged shoulder. Dr. Atkinsons professional expertise performed a reverse total shoulder replacement surgery. The out patient surgery was quick, smooth with hassle free. My spouse was informed step by step through out the entire procedure. Dr. Atkinson was highly recommended to me by several radiologists in the area! I highly recommend Dr. Atkinson for shoulder problems and surgery!
