Having had shoulder surgery many years before, I did not look forward to a repeat procedure. Dr. Atkinson, his team and therapists did an excellent job explaining the process and recovery. Four months since surgery and could not be happier with the results.
Dr. Atkinson is a compassionate and very skilled professional. He talks "to you" not "at you." His therapy staff (Heidi and Chris) are extremely skilled and take personal care with your individual situation. After the tear of my ACL, I was certain I was headed for surgery. Instead, Dr. Atkinson evaluated carefully and determined that physical therapy would be sufficient. I feel very fortunate to have found him and his practice. I would recommend him to anyone.
Four years ago Dr. Atkinson performed my rotator cuff surgery. He did an excellent job and I have had no more problems. Three months ago he repaired my meniscus and I can now climb stairs, walk and sleep without pain. Dr. Atkinson is kind and compassionate and makes sure you understand the procedure and recovery process. Dr. Atkinson's office staff and therapists are top notch, especially Ed. I would totally recommend Dr. Atkinson and Advanced Orthopedics to anyone in need of their services.
Fantastic! Dr Atkinson has a tremendous gift of healing. He did my shoulder surgery a couple of years ago..no complications, quick recovery, and perfect results. Now he is taking care of my knee with the same level of care. He is the best in his field, kind, compassionate, and trustworthy!
Florida is our winter home and the last thing I thought of was finding a doctor for surgery. Finding Dr. Atkinson, his staff, Chris, my Therapist was a godsend. They were all compassionate, respectful of my fears and concerns. I could never have wished for a better doctor to take care of me. They all made me feel like family. Sometimes the good lord puts the perfect people in our paths and this was definitely one of those times. Thank you Dr. Atkinson, Angie, Chris and all of you!!
I have complete faith in Dr. Atkinson as a surgeon and as is honest and caring human being. He is humble and kind and never "oversells" what he can do. I have no reservations in recommending Dr. Atkinson. His receptionists, nurses, physical therapists and the entire staff are all kind, helpful and friendly. I don't look forward to drs. appointments, but going to his office is an exception.
Dr. Atkinson did surgery on my right shoulder (rotator repair) couple of months ago, before the surgery I was in constant pain, not even able to comb my hair. Dr. Atkinson explain the procedure, physical therapy and what was expected of me for the surgery to be successful, I follow his instructions and I'm very happy with the result. Dr. Atkinson and his team are awesome!!!
Excellent surgeon! The best you could fine!
I highly recommend Dr Atkinson ! I had a shoulder repair a year ago in January, I couldn't move my right arm, no strength at all, now I have full use and strength. Last October I had a total knee replacement and at 69 I thought I would never be back to normal. 4 months later I can climb stairs, walk a mile and play with my grandchildren. The office staff are very friendly and you can tell it's not just their job, they really care about you. I can't express enough what they have done for me.
