I went to see Dr. Atkinson for a very painful thumb trigger finger. I saw Dr Atkinson on a Thursday & he did surgery the following Monday. I could use my hand with in 2-3 days of surgery it's been 10 days & i just had my stitches taken out! I had no pain at all after surgery & I'm back to using my fingers like i did previously! I would highly recommend Dr. Atkinson & if i ever need any more Orthopedic surgery he is the only doctor i would go to! He is also very compassionate & caring!
I took a nasty fall and broke my wrist. Dr Atkinson did surgery on my wrist to repair the damage. He repaired my wrist with a metal plate and screws. 7 weeks post surgery my wrist is back to normal. I am able to perform all tasks I did in the past without pain or any discomfort. Other than a small scar I wouldn't even know I had surgery. I would recommend Dr Atkinson to everyone.
Dr. Atkinson is absolutely wonderful. Expert medical care and so caring. He did surgery on my husband's shoulder and the results were even better than expected. He couldn't turn a doorknob before due to extreme pain. Now, four months after the surgery he has full range of motion! He felt better after less than a week. We highly recommend Doctor Atkinson!
Search no further.. this man has a gift from God to do surgery. As a nurse I cannot believe how good he is. Surgery done as outpatient and home that night.Physical therapy starts very soon after that which starts your recovery on speed dial. Had surgery 5 months ago and he told me today I am at the 2 year recovery mark. Eddie and Louise for in house PT know just exactly what to do. The whole process was fantastic. Now I have a shoulder that is more like a 30 year old. Thank you Thank you Todd !
Dr. Atkinson performed my rotator cuff surgery in January 2018. I couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism, kind manner and genuine concern for me as a patient. My surgery went off without a hitch and I was back working in my beloved gardens much sooner than even I expected, and I am not a patient patient.
I was referred to Dr Atkinson by a good friend. I was having terrible pain in my right shoulder, after twisting it falling down stairs. Dr Atkinson got me in quickly, and got to the problem quickly. I actually had multiple problems. I was scheduled for surgery in a few days, and all went well. I went from pain of 9/10 to a 2/3 after a week. I will recommend Dr Atkinson to any of my friends who needs this type of help. He is friendly, professional, and caring.He takes time to answer questions.
My wife and I have both had shoulder surgery done by Dr. Atkinson. The results were both the same. We both have full use of our shoulders and are back to all of our activities. Dr Atkinson and his whole staff including the onsite therapy team are, in our opinion, are the best in the Fort Myers area. His bed side manner is excellent. He also takes his time in answering all of your concerns and not rushing you out of the office. We highly recommend Dr Atkinson for any orthopedic needs.
Had a great experience with Dr. Atkinson and his staff. From start to finish it all went very smooth. Repaired my knee, rehab, follow up, etc.
What a wonderful Surgeon with a great bed side manner. Knee replacement performed with no complications. Coordination with obtaining ancillary services including PT excellent. Physical Therapy Staff on site and provide excellent care before and after Surgery. Dr. Atkinson spends time with patient and never appears hurried. Makes certain complete sharing of expectations. Patient and caregiver are fully knowledgeable. Will have 2nd knee replacement and care by Dr. Atkinson & Advanced Ortho staff.
