I am an existing client with Loan Depot and received a call from one of their lending officer ************************* that they can consolidate my loan and give me a good interest rate. First of all, I never authorized the Lending officer to pull my record, secondly, I was never told over the phone that I am getting this rate of interest which also include 1 point. I have a loan with Loan Depot ( ********** ) . I filed a complaint with my home owners insurance company , due to sewage back up in my house. Security *************** sent me a check and now my home loan is being transferred to a ***** Branch. I can't cash the because it has my name and LoanDepots name as they need to stamp it before I can get contractors to do work needed in the house. Company initially reached out to talk about free overview of my outstanding mortgage.I stated in the beginning of the call that I am not interested in refinancing. And, the person on the call confirmed that this is not about refinancing. However, I ended up getting refinance loan application form that I never applied for. Disgusting company!!! Please do not refinance with them! You will be highly disappointed. As many people have stated, they will get you to pay the appraisal feel, but either refuse to refinance your home or take forever to close. This company claims to give good customer service but that's just to bait you in. The loan officer we used, *********************, was nice at first and stated that we can call him if we need anything. My loan officer promised to match a competitors rate and when I received my closing docs less than a week before closing, I find out he lied to me costing me thousands extra in closing costs. Will never use LoanDepot again because of this. They are great at misleading borrowers in order to secure more business.
