One year ago I secured a loan from a competitor company to Loan Depot. For the past year Loan Depot has continued to call me several times a week. I have explained that I already have a loan please stop calling me. They have continued to call me. Today I have been called 4 times. The people calling have laughed at me, mocked me, been rude to me and have no intentions of stopping. I would call it harassment. Be careful of this company it is impossible to get them to stop harassing you. They are very unscrupulous in their deal... read more

I worked with LoanDepot to buy our new construction home, everyone associated with the lender was easily accessible and extremely helpful, which was fantastic as this was my first time buying a home. Even the seller warned me that using LoanDepot instead of their in-house lender would almost certainly cause problems, but we didn't have even the slightest hiccup with the lender throughout the entire process, to the surprise of the builder. Can't recommend LoanDepot highly enough.

I was given assurances by *** that with my credit score and down payment, the underwriting process would not be an issue. We submitted an offer on our dream home, however the loan was not sent to underwriting for approval within the 5 day deadline. As a result, the sellers went with a backup offer and we lost out on our dream home.

The refinancing process was a nightmare. I gave everything that was asked of me and in a timely manner but the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing over there. Communication was horrible! The title company they use was the biggest issue. I highly recommend using a different one! Almost didn't close on time, which cost me!

The refi process was stressful. We started at the end of March and on their part, the one that was working on my loan, left the company, So they gave us an extension till end of May, which we didn't want. There's no communication on their part. They requested all our documents again, even though we submitted on their portal. 5 days before the end of the extension (may 24), they requested documents from my husband's parent's bank to show he wasn't paying the mortgage. We couldn't get that info since they are out of the countr... read more

Discussed refinance but decided not to use LoanDepot because the interest rate was higher than existing rate. I then received a "Adverse Action Notification" noting that they denied loan and had "taken action against" me based on information contained in a consumer report. There was no problem with reports, only that I wouldn't agree to refinance at a higher rate. Reason for denial was later listed as "credit application incomplete". Apparently their strategy is either finance with them at unfavorable rates or they will take... read more

They removed a lot of anxiety from the application and closing process. I was surprised at how easy overall it was to complete and send the needed information to complete our loan and the speed at which it was done. The loan specialists were knowledgeable and courteous to work with. My wife and I are cautious of who we work with, and Loan Depot earned our trust and completed the process in a timely fashion. We are very happy with the results.

Our experience with LoanDepot was incredible. As first-time homebuyers, we were overwhelmed and had heard many horror stories about bad loan experiences with other companies. Everyone we encountered at LoanDepot was friendly, understanding, and helpful. **************** is definitely top-notch. Our broker, *******, was astounding - he was incredibly helpful, kind, patient, and took the time to explain everything to us. We are so grateful for a smooth, enjoyable experience - securing a mortgage loan is not for the faint of he... read more
