I just read a few of the reviews prior to mine and I have to disagree completely. My husband and I were looking to lower our interest rate on our single-family home in Garden Grove. We wanted a 30-year fixed, 2.99%, no money out. My Loan Depot officer is informative, professional, easy to get ahold of in off hours ie evenings and weekends, and makes the process smooth. I had a little questions on my loan, and he answered all of them. I had problems with the portal, and they went out of their way to help.

I was contacted by 2 different agents (Kevin L** and Melvin J******) from this company. Both asked for the same information and said they would contact me back with an hour or two with some results. Never heard back from either one 1 week later. I have emailed and called both agents more than twice each, emails go unanswered and calls go straight to voice-mail and never are returned! Doing a mortgage refinance can be one of the most stressful things a person/couple can go through. This was NOT the case with LoanDepot. Refinance too 2 months longer than I was told, about 4 months total. They were very dishonest with their pricing as well as the cash to close constantly changed. Feel as if they cost me thousands of dollars more than if I used another company.

It took FOREVER for them to close our loan. An appraisal wasn't even required. Numerous phone and email messages never received a response. Then, at closing, they added property taxes which had already been paid. While I like the rate I got, the service was not great.
