I had a very unpleasant experience with loandepot,the process took close to six months before closing.The notary asigned for my closing kept me waiting for 30 minutes and when he finally showed up was so arrogant and when I reached out to the loan officer to file a complaint she was very non responsive. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone

I had the original home loan through this company and the process took about 6 months and multiple people contacting me asking me for all kinds of paperwork all the time; they always needed something else and needed it IMMEDIATELY. I thought it was just the loan officer I was working with so when I went to refinance decided to just get a new loan officer. LoanDepot is a very unprofessional company their underwriters will lie to you and tell you you’re not allowed to get your full equity out of your home they will string you along take your appraisal money and they will also discriminate against you as they did my wife we will be filing a discrimination lawsuit against loanDepot everyone be warned do not use loan depot

What initially was a positive experience , ended as a Tito’s f. K up....when I refinanced the agreement was to have escrow for my property taxes and property insurance. Liam depot never paid my hone owners insurance. After multiple phone calls to customers service and the insurance office I was told not to worry the premiums were being paid. I made multiple calls and spent many hours on the phone trying to advocate for myself and to make sure my house was insured. This was the worst refinancing experience I ever had. I have purchased and refinanced many homes in the last thirty years. Loan Depot broke about every promise they made on funding and closing. I have excellent credit. After six months of runaround I hired a different broker and we closed in days. I would never hire this group again. Very incompetent people worked my file.

Felt like it was a used car scam. Numbers kept changing (final docs even had points slipped in!), promises broken, poor communication, lack of organization. Took as many as 6 requests to fix wrong numbers. They didn’t even get the closing company spelled correctly. Chaos is a good word to describe my 5th home purchase! With interest rates so low, we have been looking at different companies for a refinance on our home. I called Loan Depot and received a quote, but told the loan representative on the phone, I was still checking several companies. Later, I called their representative, and had to leave a message, that we had gone with another company, better rates, lower closing costs, etc. I told him thank you for giving us the information. Total scam for refinancing my home. I have refinance my house before with no issues. I locked in a "good" rate with loan depot, but I refused to close because they wanted me to pay PMI because my appraisal came in too low. I have had two appraisals done prior to this refi and have never had to pay PMI. The smaller house next to me sold for more than my appraisal.
