i agreed to a refinance with a $7,000 loan cost, halfway thru I get a call from someone other than Jan, stating my loan will cost me another $1,200 or over $9,000. I of course said no, cancel this loan. I have yet to hear from Jan or anyone else. I have not received any correspondence since this bait and switch activity. I have tried to get an answer about this loan but nothing. I am working with another mortgage company now but my insurance believes that loandepot is my mortgagee?

I started the process in october 2020 and they totally the dropped the ball. They sat on my application because who ever had my file was not working it and eventually was let go. Then it was transfered to 4 or 5 different people all who called and appologized about the previous representative and that my case was transfered to them. Everytime a new representative called me they wanted new paperwork all over again. After providing my paperwork over and over again the process stalled again. The whole communication process and knowledge of the team processing what frustrate us, the signed loan docs from certified notarized are mislead from what funds wired to our bank, I called the team and surprised me all are in different pages allocating the $13 grand (SMH). I am about to file a complaint fraud to the consumer finance, to protect our rights and thanks to the leadership stepped forward and able to explain and settled the case. The inconveniences lost our trust referring friends.

Complete nightmare, hidden fees , trickster sweet talking sales pitch, waste of apreser money , denied after 6 months back n forth when challenged closing cost $19000 . Complete scam artists.

When I first connected with Loan Depot, I was amazed at how great and fast the service was, my loan refi closed in 2 weeks; BUT THEN….once my loan funded it all started to fall apart. Emails were ignored, cash back was wrong, text messages: ignored, due date for first payment due incorrect, cost of closing different than what I was told. What a nightmare. I was so disappointed! If you are looking for a refi loan, or likely any other type, do NOT try LoanDepot. My first refi with them went quite well some years ago, but the latest was a comedy of errors. First, I uploaded all the requested documents needed to get the application going only to be informed that the website does not work very well, so…please email. Later, my loan processor requested specific tax documents which I provided, only to request the same documents a week later. Attention to detail seemed not to be their strength. The worst customer service I ever received. We have not yet settled this refinance after over 6 months (started in November, 2020). Too many mistakes, unresponsive, and unreliable. One star is very generous.

I read a lot of these reviews, and reviews on other websites, it seemed to me that a good portion were the fault of the "user" and not Loan Depot so I decided to take a shot with them. My main contacts were Michael C. and Jacqueline R. They were both knowledgeable and answered all of my questions including questions about a lot of these reviews (sorry to put you on the spot like that Michael).
