Do not use this company!!! I think they got their license out of Cracker Jack box. Terrible communications. Started my journey with them back on November 11, 2020. Called in and got info on rates, etc. Was told this would be an easy loan to do and the rate was locked in at 2.5%. Submitted all required documents through their portal within a week. Please do not use this company. I have an excellent credit score and make an income. I was trying to refi my existing mortgage which was a very clear cut process. Loandepot made everything hard. They all work on CA time and never answer the calls. My title company told me they were finding it hard to work with Loandepot because no one would answer calls and they would constantly ask for the same information over and over again, which was also a problem I faced with Ms AngTran who was my loan processor. Just when you think you closed and have a great loan with them, LoanDepot will call you back and make you refinance. They will tell you that they have a bad loan on the books that they have to get rid of. Now, I am being forced to refinance and pay more money when I just paid almost 7,000 for the loan I made with them not even a year ago.

Started the refinance process on 2 houses, one of which i had with loan depot. The rep was involved at first, advising he could get deals done. They ran my credit, which is good, then communication stopped. He would not answer texts or emails. He did not get back with me when he said he would and the deals just lingered for weeks. I contacted a supervisor and she just made excuses. Loan Depot called ME and made offers. Absolutely the worst financial experience we ever had. It took more than five moths to close a simple refinance. If I could could give them zero stars, I would. Had we not received the rate and had already paid for the appraisal through them, we would have walked away. Communication is atrocious and until we threatened to leave the loan and eat the cash, they did virtually nothing. LoanDepot was the best refinance experience I’ve ever had. It took considerable longer because everyone was refinancing, but it was so worth. It was great not dealing with a bank’s process. LoanDepot’s team and website are outstanding. Highly recommend.
