We are Refinancing our current mortgage with Loan Depot to get a better interest rate and also lose our current PMI that we are paying. We closed on original loan spring of 2020 with 10% down. Currently we can list and sell our home 40K more than when we bought it. We have a frame single family home 3 bed/ 2 bath/garage. Loan Depot gets this appraiser that used manufactured homes as a comparative when we have many frame single family comparatives to use. My mortgage was originally with LoanDepot, so I went with them when I wanted to refinance. The loan originator took my information and sent one email to ask for documentation. After that, I ever heard from him. Then about two weeks later, I got an email from a different person asking for updated information. In speaking with him I was told he was the loan processor. To be honest, we weren't sure about LoanDepot at first and were not able to find many positive reviews from past customers. However, our Lending Officer, Rob, proved us wrong and it was smooth sailing with him and our Account Manager, Matt, since day one. We recently closed on our refinancing and were very impressed by the great experience! We've done quite a bit of purchases and refinances in the past, mostly with big banks. MY A PAPER LOAN TOOK 90 DAYS TO CLOSE. THE PROCESSING TEAM IS TRASH. I HAD TO REPEAT MYSELF 10 TIMES ON 10 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS TO GET ONE THING DONE. NEVER EVER EVER GIVE THEM YOUR LOAN.

I started my refinance process in February. I submitted all documents requested within 48 hours, Almost immediately I received documentation from my homeowners insurance showing that Loan Depot was the holder of my mortgage. I was concerned as I had not signed any paperwork allowing this and my payments were still going to my current mortgage company. I was told this is standard procedure and that I had no need to worry. The Worst Customer Service I've Ever Seen! There should be an option to give zero stars. I was excited about purchasing my second home until I came across Loan Depot. The fact that no one would follow up unless I called or emailed constantly was a clear sign I was doing business with the wrong company. Mosi and others that worked on my loan and were requesting the same information over and over. After a month of back and forth, I still wasn't approved. I started a cash out Home loan refinance with Loan Depot on March 2 2021. The lending officer that I worked with advised that the loan qualified for an appraisal waiver due to being at 70% of value for what we were requesting. They also advised that they would provide lender credits making it a basically free loan. They sent a document showing the numbers for us and we set up a rate lock . If I could give 0 stars I would, because they did NOTHING for me except add another inquiry on my credit. The loan officer took almost a week to reach out after my initial application. When she called, she claimed she had been ill and that she'd call me in a couple days after she caught up on work. Fast forward 2 months- still haven't heard back.
