I had offers from 5 different lenders and loanDepot made the best offer. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend them for refinance, or at least not the team I had working my loan. The lack of urgency and the lack of attention to detail were obvious. A few examples: (1) We wasted nearly a month waiting for a home appraisal because the request was sent to the wrong email address. . . . . The people at Loan Depot are great however they have no sense of customer service, time urgency, awareness of potential hurdles, and a piecemeal approach to underwriting. It seems they "lose" documents and have to request the same information multiple times. Underwriting stops at the first issue and only picks up the file again once that specific question is addressed rather than continuing to looks for other questions.
