Once I was assigned to ****, things moved surprisingly fast. No delay in submitting the application to the underwriter, no requests for the same documents I had already submitted, and my final terms are excellent. I did have enough equity so an appraisal was not required which may have helped. Overall, I am well pleased with the refinance and would definitely do it again with Loan Depot.

However there was one issue there were some commitments for credit made before I agreed for credit pull, those credits were not simply honored. That was a bit disappointing and no courtesy credit was also offered.Overall I felt the service level was good. **** was processed quickly and everything else was done as committed other than the issue I reported.

While everyone seemed competent, there were too many handoffs, repeat requests for the same documentation, non returned phone calls and a complete disregard for deadlines. There also seems to be a lack of deep understanding of retirement income sources. The intermediaries they chose (the appraiser, the escrow shop) all did a good job but the process with Loan Depot was extremely painful and dragged out. You didn't feel like a customer... more like a servant to an invisible process. "
