I sent an additional payment to be applied to my principal balance. Loan Depot received the payment June 1 and the payment cleared my bank on June 4. I have contacted them three times and as of June 23rd, the payment has not been applied to my principal. They keep telling me it will be applied in two days. In the meantime, I'm still accruing interest on the higher balance. I have asked to speak to a manager and they tell me they are not available but will get back to me in one to two days. I have been investing in real estate for 35 years and this was by far the most messed up loan process I have ever been through. It took about 100 hours of my time; I had to produce 600 pages of documents and it took 3 months to complete. We have credit scores in the 800's, the loan to value was 15% (i.e. we have 85% equity in the home), our net worth is 50 times the amount of the loan and we have cash in the bank equal to twice the amount of the loan so not a risky loan at all. 5 months ago I reached out about a loan product, found out I was ineligible, and let Loan Depot know I was no longer interested. But they wont stop calling me! Im still getting bi-weekly calls and messages from salespeople with numbers in different states. Each person tells me theyre making a note of it in my file, but the calls keep coming. And I cant block them because they keep calling from different phone numbers.Dont contact them unless you want to be hounded continuously.

Loan Depot did not care about protecting my private information. They sent my personal information, include my full name and aliases, full *** and full birthday over an unsecured email without my consent, leaving me vulnerable to identify theft and does not show any urgency to ratify the situation.

Very good experience. Agents were helpful and provided clear informtion about the loan and what I needed to do. Oline portal was very useful. Closing went very well and they came to my hiouse to do the closing. Paper work was not onerus and easily accompplished online. The whole process was done in a timely way.

Everything with the loan process went well at first. Process was easy and moved quickly. However, once we were ready to sign the documents that's when the problems started. Somehow all of the title documents were not delivered to the notary on time requiring us to have to move our appointment out another day. When they did arrive, it was still missing a few documents so we signed what we could and they had to come back a couple of days later for us to sign the rest.
