I called to apply for a home equity loan, but my Mortgage Banker suggested that I refinance. At first I did not want to, but I'm glad I listened to him and my rate went down from **** to *****, went down from 22 years remaining mortgage to 15 years + paid off all my credit card debts and have extra money left to do some work on my house.

Application process was very easy and quick. But, beware, once you are approved, you sign the paperwork and get word the loan is funded, it takes them FOREVER to disburse funds and they do NOT communicate that. I closed my loan on 9/4 and today 9/15 funds have still not been disbursed.

I was quite clear to ************************* of LOAN DEPOT that I was seeking refinance RATE INFORMAION ONLY, but was sent a loan application that was NEVER requested. Never gave permission for them to run my or my husbands credit. Then we receive ADVERSE ACTION NOTICE saying our application was denied because our CREDIT APPLICATION was INCOMPLETE. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY EVER

These people were fantastic! They didn't push or posture and they gave me exactly what I wanted. If you are looking for someone to refinance your house go with loanDepot. I do not have one bad thing to say about my experience.

Excellent job on a refinance, in particular the loan officer ************************ The property is very non-standard (rural, small luxury house on a large property, plus a manufactured home as well, which seems to confuse a lot of lenders). **** was able to grasp the complexities involved easily and did a lot of extra work to confirm that a loan could go through on it before he would even let me give a deposit. Beware, for my loan, they will refinance into their own loan which doesn't allow moving the payment day or bi-weekly payments. These are some things they should've told me before I signed up with them. But they can circumvent telling you this information by saying they don't know who the lender will be until it finalizes.
