The nicest people from when you drive in to check in to baggage to room. Also had an issue with passport so hotel called a limo driver who took us to the federal building to get it straighten out and brought us back to hotel. Went to federal building at 10:00 am and finished at 3:15 pm and the driver of the limo was great with keeping in touch for our ride back Thank YOU Ricardo , you are the best. I attended a function at the hotel for a day, I did not stay over though. Downstairs bar area was closed all day. No food available. Coffee place ran out of Diet Coke. Parking was atrocious! Tiny little spaces with SUV'S squeezed into compact spots and taking up more than 1 spot. My tiny car barely fit into the last remaining spot which was madd smaller by the bug cars parked on either side. Parking attendants should monitor parking to alleviate this issue. We attended a function here over the weekend, we arrived Saturday and just checked out today. The hotel didn't have a great selection of food for kids, which the event was for, so th hat was challenging and the offered food was expensive. The room was clean and we git checked in early with was great, all the staff was very nice. However, the shuttle driver today (as I write this review) was terrible. ... my back is killing me from being jolted all over the place, and some air conditioning on the shuttle would be nice too. Love this spot. Great service. Decent food. Close to major highways and LAX. Rooms are spacious, comfy and clean. One MAJOR complaint: Unlike the Marriott Gateway in Atlanta and some other airport hotels I've stayed in, the Westin offers no barrier to the constant take offs and landings at LAX. That made for some tough nights and mornings earlier than I desired. Hope they fix this.
