We made the first purchase in 2011 with the hopes of having family vacations in different locations around the world. We were hounded to upgrade twice by relentless sales reps over the phone, much to our disappointment. This was something the sales reps told us we could pass on to our children and they too would have years of vacations with their families without paying out of pocket. That is not true. Zero Stars! Fake answering service! I have been an owner since 2012 and this has been the single worst decision of my life - I live in constant regret knowing that I invested any money in this company. PLEASE READ THESE REVIEWS! All of these people are telling the truth about Welk - it's a scam! We have had this timeshare (and upgrades) with Welk for years. We have never been happy with the relationship. We tried to get rid of this almost right after we bought it. The first time we tried to use it, we couldn’t get what we wanted. We called to complain and wanted to sell it back. This valuable piece of real estate was only worth a dollar if they were buying it. Horrible member services. Me and my other half have owned this time share for over 10 years. In the beginning we were lied to about the maintenance fees and because we refused to pay the first fees after only owning our time share for about 4 weeks, this organization has refused to allow us our use every other year. WORST CUSTOMER SEEVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. It’s been over 10 months for me to get a refund and a call back from Hutch. I’ve been given the run around from everyone. Very upsetting. I have an audition membership which I cannot use due to my Mom who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

I had a presentation scheduled at Northstar Tahoe. Trying to get a hold of anyone to confirm was near impossible. I made multiple calls and was on hold for more than 30 minutes every time. They do have a call back feature but would call during inconvinient times. I called back right away after one of their attempts and had no success getting a hold of anyone. If I could leave a ZERO I would! DONT BUY A TIMESHARE aka "PROPERTY" with WELK Resort. In December 2016, during a festival in downtown San Diego, we encountered the Welk Resorts promotional kiosk. The pictures of the property and the presentation and invitation for only $40.00 to stay the resort in Escondido sounded fun and intriguing, and of course the sales pitch was very enticing. We went to a Welk presentation in Branson, Missouri and stayed at the resort for 2 nights. We did not purchase a vacation timeshare. We were told that we would receive a FREE California getaway to the Napa Valley with the Wine package including air fare, motel, and car rental even though we did not purchase their timeshare. We were given a voucher with PIN number and told to register with FTP Vacations. This company was "supposed to handle the details and schedule our "Get away" trip. I wish I could give them ZERO stars! We attended the presentation on 9/16/18 in Truckee,CA (The Northstar building). The first person we met with seemed nice enough. After listening to the pitch for over two hours, and explaining that this was not for us, we were handed off to one last person who refused to let us leave peacefully.
