I contacted MD Anderson after I had two doctors recommend that I have my colon removed as I was "harboring cancer". Twice I went on line requesting an appointment, received a confirmation and never received a call back. I have been a HUGE fan of MD Anderson and brought my father here for prostate cancer. I have participated in their Run for the Rose. However; it wasn't until my mother called and played the "I give you money card" that I got a call back. Appointment was scheduled, then rescheduled. I noted that a notable auth... read more

I love my doctor here and his whole team. However I hate the wait time these last few visits for my chemo. They want to blame everything on there new system. For example, blood work at 2, doctor at 3 blood was in everything good orders signed and ready to go. But wait go to get chemo at 430 said the the wait is about a hour. A hour came and gone said we are waiting on your labs ( me confused look getting angry) why you don't have my labs i seen them in the computer myself. I found out over a year ago that I had cancer, it really seemed like it was taking too long for the local process to work. A friend suggested that I go to the MD Anderson website and click on the second opinions link. I did and it was the best decision I've made. I am now less one organ and the cancer that was in it thanks to Dr Brian Chapin and the MD Anderson medical team.
