My dad was a patient with prostrate cancer at MD Anderson. With the help of MD Anderson, he lived 10 very good years. His doctors and nurse practitioner, Besty, were awesome! He passed away 14 years ago, but I know we wouldn't have had those 10 years to make memories! Two years ago, my mom was diagnosed with a rare type of Fallopian Tube Cancer. Yes, getting the ball rolling between departments was frustrating, but considering the amount of work that is being done daily at MD Anderson, the time I spent was well worth it. Dr.... read more
We are here today for my husband first infusion of Keytruda. We have been coming here since January. My husband and I have only great things to say about the staff we meet and the facility. No one wants to have Cancer but if you do, this the "in" place. As I write this we are in the infusion center, IV is being started and waiting for the drug from pharmacy, my husband (Refugio) is very positive and so are the doctors. I guess I worry too much.Thank you and the good Lord.
Over all it's a great hospital... But yesterday I took my dad to get a radiation treatment.. After the treatment he started feeling nauseous I asked for a little bags where you can throw up in and none were available in the radiation department in the first floor... I know it's something so simple but it would of been great help to have some available close by.. Knowing nausea and vomiting can be a symptom of radiation.... But other than that I'm completely satisfied and pleased with the attention my dad has received in ur f... read more
My friend was suffering bloody discharge from her nipples, n/v, seizure-like activity, no appetite, severe pain and abnormal bleeding for 2 months. Our doctor recommended that we go to MD Anderson. We spent 8 hours in the ER. Tests all came back normal according to the doctor. We told him repeatedly that our doctor had recommended us to come and we would be helped because she had privileges at that hospital.. He ended up calling her doctor's office after hours and got the hospital's number instead of doctors office in which ... read more

I took my mum there for her treatment of stage 3 ovarian cancer. Absolute disgrace. Doctor Ramondetta was always late for our appointments and always rushed us and showed absolute no care whatsoever. Maybe she comes across so many cases that she has just stopped caring anymore. Instead of providing chemo made from the original manufacturers, they were using third party generic chemo but charging extremely high costs. The equivalent original chemo is available in India for 1/...Continue Reading
Beyond thankful for all of the staff and faculty at MDA. What a blessing you all have been to my family. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sending love to all who are fighting the fight.
The nurses need to be more respectful! How sad is to know that the wrong people are with the people that need kind personal, not those who are careless
