I was diagnosed over 6 years ago with a rare terminal appendix cancer - stage 4. I first went to another hospital & they told me there was no cure & I only had 2 to 5 years to live. I applied for PHD scholarship in Medical Physics at MD Anderson and failed to make it. I am now pursuing a business to raise funds to #endcancer. I realised that i can still make an impact though not as a Physicist. Thank you MD Anderson for the opportunity to dream and solidify my passion. Let's #endcancer for good especially to kids.
Don't bother going somewhere else when it comes to cancer.
It'd a good place to go for cancer patients the doctors take good care of their patients and they have a good support system
I have been treated and been involved with various hospitals throughout the world most recently MSKCC in New York. I just began my second round of treatment at M.D. Anderson in Houston. The experience has be been beyond excellent. From the transport people at the doors hi take you into and through the Hospital, the NA, Nurses, Techs, Doctors, Administrators top to bottom is a culture of care, empathy, southern hospitality, serious effort to make you feel OK in the worst moment of your life. I am grateful for the time I spent... read more
My 18 year old sister was dying of leukemia and drove across country to get help. She was treated like a drug addict, told she was fine, that she didnt have leukemia forced to walk the halls grotesquely swollen wit fluids. The experience was so horrific that the memory of what we put her through by taking her to MD Anderson still haunts m amily today, 3 years after her death.
You have an employee Sam Mathews spouting racist nonsense on Facebook. I hope he never has to care for people of color at your center.
