Rooms are horrible, as usual, but love the public areas.
We didn't stay at the hotel, but we had lunch in the restaurant and took the Hotel tour. The lunch was good, but the portions were rather skimpy for the price. The tour was excellent, especially hearing about the history of the Stanley family and the hotel itself. We plan to return and spend a night or two sometime soon.
Great whiskey bar,not too expensive either. Elk come out around dusk.

My boyfriend and I stayed on the Fourth Floor and were so excited to visit the Hotel!! It was an amazing time!! The staff was very accommodating! We tried to stay longer but couldn't afford it. Must come with more money next time. Cascades is one of the best restaurants I've had in a long time!! Our room was so creepy and quaint... couldn't have asked for a better time!! A must see!!
So amazing n beautuful. The decor was breath taking...you can spend an entire weekend just looking at ever-thing n loving every minute. The grounds are as gorgeous the hotel. Have an open mind n you'll see the beauty that surrounds you.
Very disappointed in the Stanley this weekend. We arrived at 3:30 but weren't given a room until after 7:30 despite having reservations for three months. The evening ghost tour was also disappointing. If you do a your, be sure to go earlier in the day as they take you through hallways of hotel as opposed to the outbuildings. Management needs to fix problems with not having enough housekeeping staff to clean its rooms. One bright note: the food was excellent at the hotel.
Way over priced on drinks! They we so weak! We ended taking one back! If they poured a good drink we all would of stayed a little longer!
