My boyfriend proposed to me Christmas Eve on the lawn in front of the hotel! The hotel upgraded our room...had the best view, excellent food, and superb service! We will make this a yearly trip!!
The Stanley Night Tour was an experience we won't forget. In addition to the beauty of architecture (stunning), the paranormal activities were irrefutable. Highly recommended; be open to the adventure & history.
We have had the best experience here from our accommodations to the food to visiting the town of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains! Our kids enjoyed the tour and all of the stories of the ghosts! We hope to come back again in the spring!

Our large group was looking forward to our tour at the Stanley Hotel for quite some time. They let us book and pay for a tour in July for Halloween weekend. As we got closer to the trip we were informed that our tour was cancelled because of the Halloween parties happening that weekend. Here it is December and we have still not been refunded for our tour. Calls have been made daily and we can't even speak with a manager to get it resolved. Very frustrating to say the least. I lost my credit card in the restaurant and the front desk clerk refused to teansfer my call to the restaurant to see if they had it. Very rude and.poor service not to mention the food.
Way over priced and the hotel people were not friendly. The exception was the cafe staff. They were friendly and chatty.
We just checked in to The Lodge. Incredibly friendly keeper. Room is beautiful and they even had a dog bed, bowl and treats for our little girl. I love the restoration efforts that went in to fixing the lodge and the B&B feel of it. We love taking our dog and it is so nice to have the peace and quiet, while being surrounded by such beauty. If you want to stay away from the tourist feel, just do not stay in the main building. The Lodge, directly next to the main building is PERFECT!
Second time staying at the Stanley Hotel! room was gorgeous ,food was excellent , wait staff and front desk more than helpful !
