Overpriced, outdated rooms. Spent the last 3 nights there with no a.c. and the hotel doesn't have fans. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. They rely on their reputation as an historical place and the views. That's all they have to offer, do not stay here.
It's a beautiful old hotel, you expect little inconveniences like bad plumbing and no air conditioning. But the craziness of tourist coming in just to look at the hotel, and the hotel giving tours all day long up on the guest room floors is to much for me. It was way to loud for me!
The Stanley Hotel holds much for its intriguing Historical History. We stayed in the lodge in room 1203 and experienced the unexperienced. We took the elevator, and after my girlfriend got off she took a picture. You could see a ghost of a little girl. Though she was a bit scared, I was so impressed with the photo. It was a wonderful time staying at the hotel, though a lot of people wouldn’t get any sleep after seeing what we saw in the photo we slept peacefully. Wonderful hotel, very beautiful views have stayed with wonderful impressions.
Just stopped by because our daughters love Stephen King and The Shinning but we were pleasantly surprised by the gradure and beauty of the hotel wonderful stop!
Absolutely Amazing!
We had dinner and drinks there during our visit to Estes Park. Service was excellent. The drinks were good and the food was very good! Cool place to visit!
Shane was a wonderdul tour guide! We had a large group (our whole family). He was the right amount of history, humor and spooky stories. He was a delight and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
