I have tried for nearly three weeks at my family doctor and Pella Hospital and that has been an awful experience. So I came to the Iowa Clinic Urgent Care. Doctor Hawk is the most caring and compassionate doctor I have encountered. He is like a bulldog when it comes to finding out what is wrong with you. Nurses are awesome too. I would give them a 10 star.
I called to make an appointment to discuss irregular periods and infertility. They scheduled me for an annual exam, told me they didn't have time to talk to me about my other issues (the biggest reason I made the apt and I told them when I made it) and they made me miss work and come back the next day, and then billed me for it. They told me that they can't do anything about the bill. My Dr was rude and and the staff was as well. Couldn't pay me to go back.
We didn't start with Dr. Secory and the pediatric team at the Iowa Clinic. We, unfortunately, had a negative experience with another physician/clinic and heard about Dr. Secory from a friend. Since then, there is no other physician or team with whom we would trust our son. I got less than 48 hours notice for a necessary procedure when they knew for weeks. Was given a time, they didn't keep. Pissed off and waiting.

Very efficient given how busy the waiting area was. My only concern is that your social security number is visible on their tablet during electronic new patient registration. Despite the busyness staff was friendly and the doctor let me know that he also had hospital call while seeing patients.
Dr Hansen and staff are very friendly and amazing.
My husband, a veteran will not be seen at the iowa clinic because of his type of insurance. However, someone without insurance can be seen there. Can you explain this to me??!!! I called to schedule an appointment and because of his va insurance I was told " I'm sorry we can't see him here" extremely disappointed. Once again this shows you that the iowa clinic is all about the money. Even though we offered to pay up front!
