From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

The food was great, the service not so great. Waited 10 minutes for coffee and didn't get any refills, asked for our check which took another 10 minutes, at least we toured the house which was stunning.

Food is great and service is awesome. 2nd year to visit for birthday celebration.
Although there may be a wait, that should tell you something. The food was fantastic and service exemplary. We definitely would go again.

First time visiting this establishment and it was well worth the hour wait. Food was awesome and the strawberry lemonade was bomb!
If there's a 3.5 I would rate it as 3.5. Food was good, ambiance was good. The Guenther house wasn't disappointing. The only complaint that I have is the "wait". Came here 3x already and the wait is long. Came here yesterday for my mom's bday, waited for 25mins to get a table which isn't bad. Our server wasn't too punctual in asking us what we wanted to order. Then she finally get back to us to ask our order, now another wait for 30mins for the food. Bar none, the Best Breakfast Place around!! Been to the other top locations in town and they are no competition to this great historic location on the river! Great variety; awesome quality; and solid customer service on an ongoing basis"!
