About this business

The Guenther House makes its home in an elegant historic mansion on the property of Pioneer Flour Mills in the historic King William area. From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

This past weekend we hosted a bridal shower for my best friend in the Rooftop Garden. The staff was absolutely amazing, along with the food and atmosphere. I could not have found a more fantastic venue to host this event! I highly recommend them to anyone looking!

We were here on December 23rd. It was delicious. Every time we're in San Antonio we eat breakfast here. I saw where someone was complaining about the prices. I think they are very reasonable. 6.95$ for two huge biscuits, which are fantastic by the way, covered with gravy filled with sausage, is a steal! We will definitely be back again!! Oh, the cinnamon rolls are out of this world!!!!

Yes there is a wait and you should go there knowing you will have to wait, but it's worth it!! The food was delicious, courteous service both at the restaurant and gift store. A beautiful place to visit and have a meal. Will most definitely go back!
