The Guenther House

About this business

The Guenther House makes its home in an elegant historic mansion on the property of Pioneer Flour Mills in the historic King William area. From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

Demasiada espera para comer....la comida rica, pero no en comparación de lo que tienes que esperar.

Charming & gracious. Wonderful waiter. Food was good, but the pastries were sinful.

I loved it. Definitely a must eat at in San Antonio. The breakfast was amazing and the house has a lot of history. Did I say how amazing the breakfast was. I got the chicken and waffles and my wife got the breakfast platter. Nothing was left when we were done!!

We went for breakfast on our visit and we were very happy with our food, our service and our waiter. Had to sit outside due to the crowd and even with it being cold they accommodated by it having warmers and blankets to make it a pleasant experience. So good we are going back again for brunch today.

Only problem is, having now eaten the perfect waffles, it will all be down hill from on here.
