We have used Chimney Chap for our 16 unit residential building in Brookline. The office is professional, courteous and personable. The 16 unit fireplaces were serviced annually, inspected and those required, swept. This company takes pride in what they do, they have been doing it for many years and are professionally established , accredited, insured and certified.
James S**** was very professional, knowledgeable and respectful of our property. We were very pleased with the cleaning of our two fireplaces and highly recommend James and The Chmney Chap.

Impressive service!!! Our technician Jon H. was on time, efficient, and very knowledgeable. He not only solved a baffling problem with one of our gas fireplace units, but was able to articulate a very understandable explanation. After Chimney Chap charged $209 for cleaning our chimney, its representative told my wife that we cannot use the fireplace unless we replace the firebox (for $5,000). Because it is not "up to code," he said, any fire damage will not be covered by insurance. We bought this house two years ago and it passed inspection. Hello Mr. **********, It’s a shame you feel a company like ours uses “scare tactics” to scam innocent people into spending money for unnecessary repairs. This is completely untrue and unfounded. 1. We are certain many people will agree home inspectors have general knowledge and have not been versed or trained in specific areas including fireplaces and chimneys. We have a pellet stove that would not ignite, Jon H***** was the technician who diagnosed and found the problem. He then completely cleaned the stove as well as the chimney flue. I am one happy and more than satisfied customer, Jon did a fantastic job!!!
