I had a service call yesterday, October 30, 2018, to service two gas fireplaces, on time, knowledgeable, neat, polite, knew what he was doing, very happy with the job that was done, in a timely fashion. Will call back for next service when needed. Thank you "The Chimney Chap, Inc., and you, too, Jon H*****. Awesome Job. p.s. Price was right, too.

We made arrangements with Scott and Rania of South Shore Fireplace / Chimney Chap to service our gas fireplace insert which was not working. Everything from initial appointment, confirmation eMail, on time arrival, and technical support from John H***** was exceptional in every way. John was meticulous, highly professional, knowledgeable and thorough. We would highly recommend this company.

Beware before making an appt in your home with South Shore Fireplace...We made an appt for a "site preview" and were not told that there was a fee for this. We had 3 other fireplace installers in for estimates and to look at the installation site and NONE of them charged a fee. What made it really bad was we were unaware until it was time for the guy to leave and then the hand came out for a check for $109. I highly recommend Chimney Chap. I recently had the chimney cleaned and my "Chap" Dan was extremely thorough. When he had completed the cleaning he gave me a very detailed report on the chimney's condition and overall health. It was a very positive experience overall and I will definately use them again next year.

I just had my gas fire place serviced and the contractor from The Chimney Chap was great. The contractor's name was John (do not remember last name). He was very knowledgeable and a nice guy. He explained in easy language the issue and advised as to a better solution for the future. He was on time and called five minutes before his arrival. John cleaned the fireplace and checked the sensors and did a really nice job. John H***** cleaned our gas fireplace today. Very nice fellow. He was meticulous and efficient in his work. He went above and beyond expectations by offering to do a quick repainting of some parts, now the fireplace looks as good as new. Excellent service!
