Enjoy a little piece of Pan-Fried history when you dine at Stroud's! The year was 1933. Prohibition had just been repealed, we were between two World Wars and Stroud's Restaurant was built. Stroud's started as a BBQ restaurant by Guy and Helen Stroud on the county line at 85th and Troost. The road house remained a BBQ restaurant until World War II. Was kind of disappointed in the food. Very bland but service was great! Maybe franchising wasn't such a good idea! Food was not fresh by any means...would have gladly waited for chicken made as you wait....

Loved most everything about it, the super friendly server was great. The only thing I would suggest to improve is please season the chicken! Very tender but bland

The chicken was not all that. but the service was good
The food was good...the service was horrid! The waitress was so rude that I literally told her that I require a new server! She said"No you don't I will be your server." Yes, this really happened! Finally got the manager over and I told her what was happening. We ended up not paying for the meal but I am not sure that it made up for the waitress. First time visiting. Food was great. Cinnamon rolls were the best ending. But what really sold it was the waitress who was kind, attentive, caring, and thorough in her service. One of the best I have seen. I will definitely be coming back for that quality work alone.
The chicken was greasy and tasted like it was not done, the sides were good but cold. They should offer bread or rolls with the meal. However the service was outstanding. I should have just kept my memories.....we won't be going back.
