Enjoy a little piece of Pan-Fried history when you dine at Stroud's! The year was 1933. Prohibition had just been repealed, we were between two World Wars and Stroud's Restaurant was built. Stroud's started as a BBQ restaurant by Guy and Helen Stroud on the county line at 85th and Troost. The road house remained a BBQ restaurant until World War II. Best pan fried chicken, mashed tators and gravy. Can not forget the beans and cinnamon rolls. Service was awesome. It's a must stop when we visit K.C.
You will never eat fried chicken anywhere as tasty as this restaurant. The mashed potatoes gravy and green beans are incredible.In fact, everything they serve is amazing and the staff is so friendly. So if your ever in Fairway stop in and have the best meal ever.

Love everythimg about the place. Food is awesome.
The food is excellent, and our server was outstanding. She was so happy and outgoing. Never had to ask for anything, it is like she could read your mind. I definitely will return for more gizzards, livers or I'll try the famous chicken!
Still a great place for pan fried chicken. Elaine our server was very good and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend it.
