I am told that I need either stance or open heart surgery. I'm 90% block on the left side and 60% blockage on the right side. And the insurance company has not give If an approval on procedures in over thirty days This is the worst Insurance Company in the world. Stay away they want you to die so they don't have to pay

Just reading all the 1 Star Reviews about this **** Aetna Insurance and sure enough they are all true. I’ve had nothing but the worst coverage, denied services and extremely POOR Customer Service! Do whatever you can to Not use this Insurance Company Ever !!!

Horrible customer service experience!!! I applied for a Medicare Part D plan for my father and 14 days later had not heard anything back, even though the confirmation email stated I should hear back in 7-10 days. When I contacted their Part D area I initially spoke to a representative that was rude and cared nothing about truly helping me as a customer just passing me along. This insurance company puts their dollar way above the client. I was on a medication for months before getting Aetna. Aetna did not approve the claim for medication stating that even though I was on it prior and it worked great, I would need to drop it and try another first. When asked if it was normal procedure to remove a patient off a medication that was working to satisfy some check list of other medicines, they said yes. The provider claims department is horrible. They read the information back to you which you are able to view on their online portal yourself. If you ask any questions for which they do not know the answer to they simply redirect your call back to the main line so you can speak to another rep or they simply hang up on you. Today I called and lasted over an hour dealing with this. The first rep I spoke to named Ron B. told me he couldn't escalate my call without providing a reason. Website benefits show I have coverage for orthodontics $xxxx PER PERSON. Went to ortho and they state our plan only covers children. I called Aetna and stated they must be wrong because their website shows I have coverage per person. Rep states that is just a default they put on there and I would have to put a special request in to see my actual benefits and coverage. False AD on their website for something so expensive every month! Will be filing complaint with AG as well.

absolutely the worst insurance I have every had. They will not cover things the doctor finds necessary for further treatment. There is so much wrong with this insurance it should be shut down.

They refuse to take our office's calls regarding claims they say they paid on - which we never received. We called with the patient in the room and they freaked out - after telling me they'd only talk to the patient, I told them he was on the line. They then said they would not talk to the patient, but only to the patient's wife??? We then got her on the line and they hung up. I have our recordings of the 10 hours we've spent on the phone with Aetna dealing with this one claim - unable to get a call escalated to a supervisor... read more

Scam time at Aetna. I was concerned that my insurance wasn't picking up extra on my plan. I called Aetna and they gave me the number of an agent. But guess what, this agent Dale C***** was at a number that said I would have to give info for a prize, I couldn't understand the operator and they kept saying I would be connected when I answered a few questions.
