These people LIE! Day in and day out. As a provider and medical biller, it is an absolute nightmare to get claims paid. Representatives barely speak English, there is never a supervisor available, there's only one number to call for provider services and it's utterly useless. You should thank your lucky stars if your claims pay accurately on the first submission. They deny 4 claims out of over 12 that all had the same authorization number, but paid all the other claims, deny those four for not having an auth. I called in Nov... read more
They stink! They totally neglect/abuse/take advantage of their elderly senior citizen patients by providing outdated, erroneous network PCP listings, and network physicians try to make more money by assigning their new patients to their nurses saying that they can't see them in person till 2025 (ie. **** *** **). Their Safety Ride system doesn't work. No transportation shows up leaving the elderly stranded at physicians' offices. They are supposed to provide 12 free rides. I have Aetna Better Health insurance through Medicaid. I had a recent claim issue & got amazing, quality customer service through a lady named Carolina. She handled everything with me compassionately and professionally. 5 stars for her!
I changed insurance companies Jan 2023 to Aetna with all kinds of promises from the sales agent . I have been fighting for 6 weeks now to get a quarterly health card that was part of the program. I have spent hours on the phone with aetna and their partner nations benefits who issue the cards. Back and forth back and forth, each call the representative tells me a total different story. Called to setup insurance, denied because members of our household have mental health diagnoses to include autism and personality disorders. The representative said we should apply to Obamacare but we are higher income. How can private health insurance deny disabled people? That's ridiculous, the people who need health coverage the most are disabled or woth pre-existing diagnosis. Applying to other companies who are aren't ableist.
DO NOT USE AETNA FOR YOUR MEDICARE PLAN!!!! This company will make promises to get you to switch over to their plan and then they will take those promised benefits away once they have you. I have NEVER experiences such terrible customer care with any company as I have with Aetna Medicare Insurance.

I work for ***and wouldn't recommend this horrible insurance to anyone. I plan to cancel it ASAP. They are restricting me on where I can get my maintenance medication and I'm about to run out and they only want to mail order to me and I don't want it mail ordered.
Aetna told me to use in network providers so I don't have to pay much out of pocket, however they lied again. I recently I have bill for 526 dollars because Aetna don't want to pay no even a penny. This insurance company gets away with anything because there is not federal oversight. Nobody in congress cares about Americans paying high medical bills I'm suing them
