It should not take 45 mins to get an order of food at Steak n Shake! The shakes were terrible and served in to go cups. Server forgot our drinks and just not very friendly.
The food was fine when we finally got it. We waited for a table which was fine, then an hour to get our food. When the food finally came my daughter’s order wasn’t even prepared with ours. It took an additional 45 minutes for her food to come. The manager, Ruber, refused to come to our table and discuss the issue and refused to talk to us when it was time to pay for our food. Yesterday Oct 10 at 5:30 pm my wife and I came here for dinner. We were seated and given menus immediately. There was one other customer eating alone at a booth. We were there 20 minutes and nobody took a drink order or our order. The cooks stayed in the kitchen until a group of 5 young people came in that they all must have known. The group was there to visit not to eat. We were completely ignored by the entire staff and they did not even seem to notice when we walked out without even placing an order or having any contact ... read more
Never again! Food was terrible! Felt so bad for the server who was actually pretty good for having to apologize for the horrible wait and food cuz they cant get it together in the kitchen!
This place is disgusting. The floor, tables, windows, and walls were filthy. Corporate needs to make a visit.
First there were 3 female employees at the front area that left us waiting 5mins to be seated as they socialized. I used the washroom while we were waiting for a server. The washroom was filthy, garbage on the floor that desperately needs to be mopped. The food was fine and hot and the order was correct. The server never returned or refilled our drinks.
