Make sure people can see their doctors when they need to see them. Never again will I go to SSM. Shame on you!

As a patient of Patrick Prevo, I feel he is a great pain management physician and listens to his patients attentively. The front office staff are rude, argumentative, uninformed, and do not present a welcoming environment for patients. Expect to wait a minimum of 45 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to be taken back to the room, and an additional 25 minutes for the PA-C Eduardo Garcia to visit which he never came in. My son was born here 15 months ago. They have AMAZING nurses and doctors in the delivery unit!! They literally saved my son’s life and were so incredibly nice and helpful during the entire process. Also, the rooms are wonderful! The delivery room was very spacious, had a huge walk-in tub, and was very comfortable. The room for after delivery felt very homely, accommodated for all visiting family members, had a big bed so my husband slept right next to me, a large walk in shower, and a built in baby tub. What a terrible place. We were instructed to return there by our physician, to correct a procedure that was performed there. Was told they couldn’t fix the procedure at this location so they would call the main hospital. After a long wait we told the physician that we would go somewhere else. He stated that was a good idea. Now they want to bill me and my insurance. Was never offered a solution from the physician. This place is pretty much an overpriced after hours clinic. First and last time there on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2019. Waited 2 hours in waiting room. When I told nurse that doctor had not been in after we had been in a room for two hours and just wanted to be discharged (nurse was super sweet by the way) she they only had one doctor working and 20 patients and she did remind me it was 2:30 am in the morning! . Wife is having surgery today and not at all pleased. Can someone please explain why they took her to the holding area for an hour before the surgery actually started. I get anxiety with any surgery and being away for that long without knowing what's going on doesn't help the anxiety at all. I know this sounds minor but to me there's no reason why I couldn't stay with her until they were ready to take her to the operating room for her procedure.
