My husband was in the ER. We called to discuss bill. We asked for a discount as we wanted to try and make one lump sum payment and were denied any discount..There were no discounts or payments applied from the insurance company. We are both unemployed at the momemt but trying to take care of our obligations. They advised us to apply for Medicaid.....really. very disappointing. Not asking for a handout. Will not apply for Medicaid.
Took off feature that counts text characters so you won't go above maximum of 1000 character ( you really expect me to count my characters, or cut and paste from another app, defeating the very purposes of MyChart, with no notification anywhere! Was told repeatedly patient liaison would get back to me "soon"; their definition if soon is 60 days. I have gotten a bill from them but no letter of clarification about the misbilled amount. Super awesome and caring staff. Everyone was so helpful and made sure you was comfortable as possible. They worked their best to get me home safe and healthy so I can be with my baby and husband that I missed dearly. Highly recommend ssm.. Wish I went to them months ago. St Louis University hospital is where to go for sure with anything making you sick.
Really having difficulty with SSM Health at the moment. They are continually billing me for the wrong test despite my pediatrician's office confirming the correct test multiple times and my insurance company and SSM billing department repeatedly telling me that I'm being billed incorrectly. If you know I'm being billed incorrectly, why can't anyone seem to figure out how to fix it?
Their prices for the service provided was way over priced! Went to an urgent care for a sinus infection that costs $450! Not one test was performed. I will never go to an SSM again
compassionate and just an absolute great company all around.
