Had a nice quiet room on the top floor, received a nice gift package for my birthday from Joseph, concierge. Enjoyed a delicious Reuben fries and a burger from Bristols. Breakfast was a bit expensive but Lex made excellent omelets. Everyone I met, workers and guests were very nice and friendly. A slight misunderstanding on myself and the front desk clerk during checkout but was resolved, everything was delightful and I had a wonderful time. New decor was a bit artsy compared to the previous ownership.

We stayed here 8/11/17 as part of a package deal through Costco before we left for our cruise. Beautiful resort but there were some things that could be improved upon. Check-in was quick but check-out took nearly an hour as the in-room checkout system was down and the lines moved at a snails pace. Food and snacks were overpriced here ($3.75 for a 2 pack of Twinkies?!). Checked our credit card and noticed a $82.68 charge from the Diplomat on there. Great location on beach and views. Rooms are really nice, but they recently removed coffee makers from room and have silly 2 token system for water for Hilton Honors members for entire stay for lukewarm water bottles where Starwood hotels provide 2 bottles of water in room daily.
The best place to stay on the beach. I absolutely love it. Sleeping in their beds is so good you'll feel refreshed. I was in an ocean front suite and the views were breathtaking. Awesome experience each and every time I stay here. I definitely recommend it.
Customer service was poor. Can't get linen for the bed, took over 2 hours to get towels. My grand baby went to sleep in a chair because no clean linen, were suppose to change it this morning but noted Grainy substance in one of the beds. No resolve after calling 4 times and it has now been over an hour its10:53pm and we are tired and sleepy. I've talked to 2 managers here.
We have been coming here for several years, we brought our whole family this time and was very disappointed. We will not return here again. The changes that were made was a very bad decision in my opinion. I will say some of the staff that we knew from previous visits were very helpful, however that's about the only positive thing I can say.
